Whether you’ve already created an account or are exploring ally on the web without signing in, you can personalize your experience right from the start.
Follow the steps below to select the ally personality that fits you best—no account required.
If you haven’t created an ally account yet
If opened ally in your browser by tapping here and prefer not to create an account right away, you can still choose your preferred ally by following the steps below:
- Once you’ve opened ally in your browser by tapping here tap or click the Let’s Start button. You’ll be introduced to four default personalities: Tom, Kai, Lear, and Zoe.
- Take your time and choose the one that feels like the best fit for you. When you select one, you’ll hear a preview of their voice. Swipe through the options and double-tap on the one you want. Once you’ve made your decision, tap or click the Confirm button.
- Your ally will then ask what it should call you. Type in your name or nickname—whatever feels right for you.
- Next, you’ll go through a brief onboarding so ally can better understand how to support you. You’ll be asked: whether you’d like to interact by speaking or typing, what you like and what you prefer to avoid.
- When you’re done, ally will give you a quick summary of what you’ve shared.
If you’ve already created an ally account
If you’ve already created an account and followed the steps in the Download, sign in, and verify your ally account on the Web article, you can select your preferred ally by following the steps below:
- Go to the preferences tab located in the top right corner.
- Under about your allies, you’ll see four default personalities: Tom, Kai, Lear, and Zoe.
- Swipe or scroll through the options and double-tap on the one you want.
- To personalize any of these, tap the Edit button on your selected ally.
- Here, you can customize your ally’s language, personality traits, and preferences.
- Feel free to adjust all available fields and default descriptions shown in this tab, including: name language, voice, ally personality and communication style.
- Once you’re done, tap Save Changes.
- If you’d rather not edit any of the four default allies, you can scroll to the bottom and select add new ally to create a completely new one from scratch.
